Padakuthira is a Malayalam investigative thriller movie directed by Salon Symon (David). The film padakuthira features Aju Varghese, Renji Panicker, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Sijaa Rose as the lead. The other prominent stars include Indrans, Nandu Lal, Baiju Ezhupunna, Akhil Kavalayoor, Joemon Jyothir, Shameer Khan, Dileep Menon, Kottayam Ramesh, Shaheen Sidhique, Shaju Shreedar, James Elia, Kaarthik Shankar, and Sminu Sijo. On Thiruvonam, 15 September 2024, the first look poster for Salon Symon's film Padakuthira was unveiled. The auspicious pooja ceremony of the film Mabins Production No.1 was held at the Valakom Nayara Petrol Pump on 18 August 2024. The movie was titled Padakuthira. The title poster mentioned Estd 1950 and comes with the tagline 'pen is mightier than the sword.'

The music for the film 'Padakuthira' was composed by Dhanush Harikumar and Vimaljith Vijayan, with lyrics penned by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma and Vinayak Sasikumar.

Tharangam released Padakuthira, a film directed by Salon Symon and starring Aju Varghese, Renji Panicker, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Sija Rose in the key parts, on April 24, 2025.

Synopsis

The well-known media magnate Vishwanatha Menon, who founded the once-prestigious daily Padakkuthira, is the father of Nandakumar, who was born in the 1990s.

However, Padakkuthira has long since lost its heyday and is now just used to publish warped and sensationalized articles to attract quick attention.
