Karthi-Arvind Swami movie 'Meiyazhagan'
Meiyazhagan movie in Ott
The film '96' was released six years before to Meiyazhagan. The writing has undergone extensive polishing. Why a movie like this right now? I must first respond to this inquiry. Hatred has become more prevalent in recent years, both on social media and in our surroundings. This can only be changed by love. "That is the subject of this film. "You will observe the situation as it is," filmmaker Prem Kumar stated. The film's highly emotional premise is evident from the trailer.
Karthi about Meiyazhagan: '96' was the most popular film. He refined the film by paying close attention to the dialogue, screenplay, and story. The individual who gave a big hit will not be abandoned by the industry. He'll rush back to work on the upcoming film. However, despite his intention to seek possibilities, Prem Kumar took his time making a film. This makes it clear that he is not someone who chases for notoriety. Knowing that he had such a story, I went up to him.
I started crying just reading this script. This story was primarily written by Prem during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everybody has a life mission. Everyone travels back to their hometown from Chennai during the festival. The city itself will be deserted. Everyone has a strong sense of patriotism. One's own nation is the main character in this. 'Kaithi' was filmed entirely at night while the actors were performing. My heart was broken by Lokesh Kanagaraj's battle scenes. He spent many days and nights filming Meiyazhagan after that film. The unique aspect, however, is that not a single stunt scenario is included.
When we were performing, Aravinda Samy and I would often discuss how a film may succeed if the emotions in the scenes were not toned down and were conveyed on screen in the same manner. My character walks behind Aravindasamy and yells 'Athan, Athan' throughout the movie, torturing him. Most people's phones still have the '96' song 'Katale Katale' as the ringtone. In this way, the majority of people travel while listening to Meiyazhakan music. One of Kamal Haasan's songs from this film has gained a lot of popularity. It added a lot of value to the movie as well. Thanks, especially to him. Without the Ilaiyaraaja's love, Prem Kumar could not have written the tale. Meiyazhagan has also experienced it, he said.
I am grateful to Premkumar, the filmmaker, who kept me in mind when creating my role in this movie. I can relate to this tale because it occurred to me. It just so happened. It's a topic that has greatly impacted me and continues to do so... I'll discuss it after the movie comes out. Arvind Swami discussed his character and the movie.
The music for the film 'Meiyazhagan' is composed by Govind Vasantha.

Synopsis
The main character of the film is Arulmozhi, a man in his late teens who was forced to leave Thanjavur in 1996 due to family division. He had strong feelings for the city and that house, and the memories are so ingrained that they make him uneasy. He was compelled to return to his birthplace twenty-two years later because his cousin's sister, whom he had essentially raised, was getting married. Meiyazhagan tells the story of Arul's reluctant trip back to his birthplace and the fascinating events that transpired when he met a relative at the event.LEAD CAST
