Joy K Mathew with a short documentary and anti-drug film festival
- For the competition, a 5-minute-long Malayalam speech and poem about "Drug-Free Kerala" may be submitted in video format.
- Films between three and five minutes should be submitted for the short film/documentary competition with an anti-drug message. You can use your own phone or camera to record the speech, poem, documentary, and short film.
A judging panel made up of distinguished figures from the domains of psychology, anti-drugs, and film will choose the winners. There will be three prizes: Rs. 20,000 for the first, Rs. 10,000 for the second, and Rs. 5,000 for the third. A plaque, a certificate of appreciation, and a monetary prize will be given in recognition of the speech and poem. A unique reward will be awarded to the 25 individuals who garner the most audience responses from the specifically chosen short films, documentaries, speeches, and poems that are aired on web channels associated with Global Malayalam cinema.
The speeches, poetry, documentaries, and short films submitted for the competition cannot have been shared on social media, aired elsewhere, or violated any copyright. The Chairman and Judging Committee of Global Malayalam Cinema will make the final decision in the event of a dispute pertaining to the competition. Before May 15, 2025, speeches, poetry videos, short films, and documentaries must be sent to globalmalayalamcinema@gmail.com via email in MP4 or MOV format.
There is no registration cost to enter the tournament. This year, notable people from the media, film, and anti-drug law sectors will attend a special event in Ernakulam, where the award-winning artists' films will be screened and given out. All 14 districts will host unique programs for the anti-drug film festival, which will feature specially chosen short films, documentaries, lectures, and poetry. The project coordinators are PR Sumeran at 9446190254 and Sakikumar SD at 9946853016.
