Start of the Medical Crime Thriller 'Dose'
Abhilash R Nair is the director, with Siju Wilson as the lead
Ankit Trivedi, Kurian Mathew, and Joy Chiramel of Wonder Movie Productions, Musket Movie Makers, Cinema Network, and Wilson Pictures are the co-producers of Dose. Vishnu Prasad handled the cinematography, and Shyam Sasidharan did the editing. The action direction is choreographed by Kalai Kingson, who is known for his work through Marco. Ananthu Hari is the chief associate director.
The movie Dose is based on medical crimes and situations from around the world, is being made from Kandan's medical crime thriller Dose. As the title implies, Dose is a criminal thriller in the concealed dose genre, which is what the director is attempting to convey.
Filming for the movie Dose started on Tuesday, 19 August 2025, at the Vadasserikara Sree Ayyappa Medical College in Ranni. Vadasserikara Panchayat President Mrs. Latha Mohan lit the first lamp to start the filming, and then the actors and crew joined in to finish the scene. The first clap was given by actors Ashwin K Kumar and Jagadish, who did the switch-on ceremony. Jagadish, Ashwin Kumar, and a number of younger performers took part in the first scene that was filmed.
In addition to producing Asianet programs, Abhilash has produced short films such as Antagonist, Ee Raavil, and Thirivu, which have garnered a lot of attention on social media. Additionally, Abhilash R Nair produced the music CD Dhoore. He is becoming a prominent figure in mainstream film and writing screenplays.
The title poster for the Malayalam film Dose was announced on 18 July 2025 by Mammootty through Mammootty Kampany.
The music director of the movie Dose is Gopi Sunder.
Dose movie will be released in cinemas on May 22, 2026. The theatrical distribution of the film Dose is by Ezinematic Pictures in Kerala, AP International in the rest of India, and Homescreen Entertainments as an overseas partner. This movie Dose's filming will be finished at Pathanamthitta and Ranni.
