Aasha is a Malayalam movie written and directed by Safar Sanal, a debutante. The significant roles are being played by Urvashi and Joju George, along with Vijayaraghavan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Pani fame Ramesh Girija. Vinayaka Ajith is producing the movie Aasha under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films. Joju George, Ramesh Girija, and Safar Sanal wrote the dialogue and screenplay. (ads)

The chief associate of Aasha is Ratheesh Pillai, and the associates are Jijo Jose and Febin M Sunny.

Our Superstar Urvashi has starred in about 700 films between 1979 and 2025, won two national awards, and won eight state awards in five different languages. Urvashi on the Aasha sets received a warm reception when the first glimpse of the film was released on 26 September 2025. Urvashi is shown standing at the end of the video, her chest pierced by a gaze.

Urvashi and Joju George, two of Malayalam's most popular actors, are starring together for the first time in Aasha. Other prominent actors are Vijayaraghavan and Aishwarya Lekshmi. Ramesh Girija, star of Pani, also appears in the movie.

The cast of Aasha, which features Urvashi and Joju George in their debut acting roles together, celebrated Onam on the set. On social media, images of the Onam festivities and the Onam Sadhya with the celebrities—including Urvashi, Joju, and other crew members—have gone viral. The movie is currently being filmed in and around Kalady. The makers also just unveiled the title look poster for the movie.

The filming of Aasha, starring Malayalee favorites Urvashi and Joju George, has just started. Following well-known films like Ponman, Gaganachari, Bandra, Madanolsavam, and Sarkeet, Ajith Vinayaka Films' latest release is Aasha.

Thrikkakara Vamanamoorthy Temple recently hosted the movie's pooja and switch-on ceremony. The makers also recently published the poster for the movie's title.

The music for the film 'Aasha' is composed by Midhun Mukundan, and the sound design and sync sound by Ajayan Adat.

The movie Aasha will be available in five different languages, distributed by Ajith Vinayaka Films. The movie is currently being filmed in Kalady and the surrounding areas.
