Synopsis

Shivashangaran, the son of dancing instructor Yamini, is the subject of the Mauryan film. He was placed in a juvenile correctional facility due to extraordinary circumstances. He leaves there and makes his way to Palani, where he joins forces with Patti and her adopted daughter and flower vendor Shankari, who reside in a slum, and presents himself as Selvan from Theni. Years later, Yamini, Selvan's mother, who is still looking for her son, travels to Palani to complete a Nercha she had promised herself in order to locate her son. ~~(ads)~~ Anjali, a friend from Selvan's youth, also visits Palani for a project. The narrative then adopts a new viewpoint as she identifies Selvan and his mother.
