Filming starts
The chief associate director of Chadang is Rajeesh Velayudhan.
On Sunday, August 30, filming for the movie Chadang, which starred Vineeth Sreenivasan in the title character and was directed by rookie Abhijith Sarya, got underway. The Ponnurunni Sree Narayaneswaram Temple in Vyttila, Kochi, hosted a pooja ceremony to kick off the festival. Producers Dolwin Kuriakose, Shabeer Malavattath, Deltamani, director Abhijith Sarya, Shahi Kabir, director Shifina, and crew members who lit the Bhadradeepam and played the gong joined Vineeth Sreenivasan, Suresh Krishna, and the film's heroine, Meenakshy Madhavan.
Director Abhijith Sarya's parents, Sreedharan and Shobha, performed the switch-on ceremony. The first clap was also given by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Chadang places a strong emphasis on humor and horror. Set against the backdrop of a Malabar home, the movie is marketed as the ideal family and horror comedy.
This movie will be filmed in and around Wandoor.
