Ameera Malayalam movie directed by Riyas Muhammad and penned by Sameer Abdul Samad, Anoop R. Film produced by Anil Kumar. Along with Meenakshi, Kottayam Ramesh, Kottayam Purushan, director Boban Samuel, Sumesh Good Luck, Meenakshi Mahesh, and Sandhya also play the lead roles in the film.
Ameera is Riyaz's first film, he is notable for his short films. Meenakshi Anoop featuring in the title role of Ameera. Meenakshi's original name is Anunaya Anoop. She is well known for the roles in 'Amar Akbar Anthony' and 'Oppam'. Scriptwriter Anoop is Meenakshi's father. Her brother Harish will be seen as Ammera's brother in the film. Ayyappan and Koshyum fame Kottayam Ramesh plays a notable role in the movie.
The movie tells the story of the marriage of people of two religions and the challenges, problems and survival that their children face after parents death.
The shooting of the movie was completed in 21 days in various parts of the Kottayam district and the crew faced many challenges.
Ameera movie was released on June 4th of 2021 as an OTT release on platforms like First Shows and LimeLight.
