Neelavelicham Malayalam movie is directed by Aashiq Abu based on the famous screenplay 'Bhargavi Nilayam' by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. Features Tovino Thomas and Rima Kallingal in Neelavelicham as the lead characters with Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, Rajesh Madhavan, Uma KP, Pooja Mohanraj, and Devaki Bhaagi. The movie Neelavelicham is produced under the banner of OPM Cinemas.

The movie 'Neelavelicham' is the remake of the 1964 classic film 'Bhargavi Nilayam', written by Vaikom Mohammad Basheer and directed by Vincent Master starring Madhu, Prem Nazeer, Vijaya Nirmala, Adoor Bhasi, and Kuthiravattam Pappu.

Neelavelicham movie was announced on the occasion of the 113^th birthday of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer on 21^st January 2021. When the movie was announced the star cast was Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kunchacko Boban, and Soubin Shahir.

The shooting of the movie Neelavelicham has started shooting in Thalassery, Pinarayi. During the switch-on function of the movie, MV Govindan Master, MV Jayarajan, KK Shailaja teacher, and KINFRA Regional Manager Murali Krishnan were also present along with the crew on 25^th April 2022.

A new poster of the movie "Neelavelicham" has been released on the occasion of Kerala Piravi on 1^st November 2022. The poster has been released with Vaikom Muhammad Basheer's rousing text, "Dha Puthiya Sooryodhayam. Unaruka; Pravarthikkuka; Munnottupokuka. Jeevitham Sundharamakkuka, Ahladikkuka".

The music for the movie 'Neelavelicham' is composed by Bijibal and Rex Vijayan.

Neelavelicham movie will be released in theaters in January 2023.
