Pulli is a Malayalam movie starring Dev Mohan of Sufiyum Sujatayum (2020) fame and Meenakshi in the lead role. Jiju Ashokan is the director after Urumbukal Urangarilla (2015) and Premasoothram (2018). The movie Pulli is produced by TB Raghunathan under the banner of Kamalam Films. Indrans, Sreejith Ravi, Vijayakumar, Vettukili Prakash, Sudhi Koppa, Santosh Keezhatoor, Prathapan, and Abin Bino are in the lead roles. Apart from this, Senthil Krishna, Kalabhavan Shajon, Rajesh Sharma, Binoy, Muhammad Eravattur, and many newcomers and theater artists are in the movie. ~~(ads)~~

Dev Mohan will also play the lead role of Dushyanta Maharaja in the cosmic film 'Shaakuntalam' directed by Telugu hitmaker Gunasekhar, which was shot on a budget of Rs 100 crore. Pulli movie is Dev Mohan's first theatrical release.

He has won many awards from Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi and will be active in Malayalam and Tamil films for many years to come. Shri Rajesh Sharma will be seen in the lead role of Hemachandran in the movie Pulli.

Jiju and Raghu are pairing for the second time after 2015 hit Urumbukal Urangarilla. Dev Mohan moved from the corporate sector to modeling and from there to cinema. By the end of August 2020, it was reported that Dev Mohan was getting married to Regina.

The title poster was released by actor Dulquer Salmaan on 26^th January 2021. The movie's shooting started on 15^th February 2021 at Kanimangalam, Thrissur.

The music right of the movie Pulli is bagged by 123 Music after 'Bheeshma Parvam'.

Pulli movie was released worldwide on December 8, 2023. The film was planned to be released in 2022, but was postponed. The Malayalam film Pulli is streaming on Manorama Max from 27 September 2025.

Synopsis

Stephen shows up at the Central Jail for the second time after being sentenced to a case. A few of his former adversaries band together to oppose him. Without any other option, Stephen defended them on his own before being brought to the isolation cell, also referred to as the prison inside the jail. His life is changed when he accidentally discovers an old phone that was used by a prisoner in private while concealed in a flush tank. On the eve of Jail Day, Stephen and his fellow inmate, Jamal, make their getaway. The officer was looking through his sentence because he was scheduled to be released from prison the following morning. Jailer Hemachadran and his squad would have gone down to catch him, assuming he had something to do tonight, if he had broken out of the prison the night before in order to be released without having to wait another night. ~~(ads)~~ The fact that he escaped without being captured on a CCTV camera has puzzled prison officials. The real fight is just getting started, but we believe it ended when Stephen conquered all the obstacles and accomplished his goal.
