Akash Anil wins gold again National Kickboxing

Akash Anil wins gold again in the full contact category at National Kickboxing Championships in Pune. Kerala won medals in 29 of the 33 events. Kerala won eleven gold, seven silver, and eleven bronze medals.

Six participants from Ernakulam district competed in nine events at the National Championships under the Kerala Kickboxing Association and won five gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.

In addition to the 29 athletes led by Kerala Kickboxing Association Secretary Dr. KP Natarajan, team coach Kiran VS also coached the team managing president Santhosh Kumar, president of the Kerala Kickboxing Association, referees and judges Suveesh Vishwanathan, Sonal PM Ratheesh, K Raveendran and Sreejith R are the Kerala team.

Akash Anil and Ann Mary Philip were selected for the professional level competitions with their performances in conjunction with the closing ceremony. In addition, Ann Mary Phillip and her son Chris Jubin, who won medals in the cadet and senior women's divisions at the Open India Championships, also excelled at national competitions. Chris won a double medal with gold and silver. At the last championship, Ann Marie won the double medal. This time Ann Marie won the gold in the low kick.
