Writer is a Malayalam mystery drama movie directed for the first time by Ravi Shankar, the screenwriter of 'Bhishma'. Features Jayasurya as the lead character. The movie Writer is produced by Akhil and Aashiq under the banner of Yulin Productions. The movie is shot by Nimish Ravi, who is also notable through the cinematographer of 'Kurup'. Nayattu and Joseph fame screenwriter Shahi Kabir writes the screenplay and dialogues.
