Chakkala Malayalam road movie is directed by Jain Christopher, famous for his film Manathu Kanni. The filming of the road movie Chakkala started with famous cartoonist Toms Veliyanadu Atthikalam Tharavadu. The real-life character Boban of Bobanum Moliyum has performed the switch-on ceremony. Prominent actor Pramod Velliyanad clapped first and foremost public representatives and film workers who attended the function.

Chakkala is a different kind of road movie that goes through a series of shocking incidents on the way from Kuttanad to High Range. The film started shooting in Veliyanad in Kuttanad and will end in Kattappana.

The music for the film Chakkala is composed by Madhu Lal and Regimon with the lyrics by Deepa Soman and Sebastian Ottamassery. The songs are sung by Pandalam Balan and Regimon.

Chakkala movie was released in theaters on June 2^nd of 2023.

Synopsis

In Veliyanad, a tiny town in Kuttanad in Alappuzha, there resided a well-known elderly man by the name of Avarachan. He had two children. He severed all ties with his daughter Jancy after she left with a man of a different religion, which was in opposition to Avarachans and all religious views. They eventually become total strangers. None of the things his father did were acceptable to his son. Avarachan, meanwhile, dies. The local leaders made the decision to travel straight from Alappuzha to Idukki because there was no other way to inform their children of the news.

Four people set out to travel to Idukki. They were only aware that the kids resided in Puliyanmala, a secluded community close to Kattappana. They eventually locate the home of Avarachan's daughter Jancy after a protracted search. Regretfully, they learned that she passed away in an accident yesterday. Alongside Avarachan's body, the villagers waited eagerly for his children, Jomon and Jancy, to arrive. They then learn that the four leaders who traveled to Idukki to inform the children of the situation killed both Avarachan and his daughter.
