Daya Bharati is a Malayalam movie directed by KG Vijayakumar. The title character Bharati is played by Niya Sankarathil, who made a name for herself in the film Pathonpatham Noottandu, and Daya is played by Neha Saxena. Along with National award winner Nanjiyamma, Kailash, Appani Sarath, Dinesh Prabhakar, Gokulam Gopalan, AV Anoop, Jayaraj Nileshwar, and many newcomers and original Adivasis are in the cast. The film Daya Bharati is produced by CK Asokan and B Vijayakumar under the banners of Thamburan International Films in association with Charankattu Asokan. The Associate Director is Sebin Kattungal.

The first-look poster for the movie Daya Bharati, which stars South India's well-known ghazal singer Hariharan, was launched by renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan. He is directing a documentary for the Ayodhya Temple Trust and unveiled at this location. Participating in the launch event were director KG Vijayakumar, marketing executive Siby Padiyara, and well-known producer Seven Arts Vijayakumar.

The movie has a theme of societal responsibility. The main focus of this movie is opposition to the exploitation of tribal lands. The appearance of vocalist Hariharan in this field gives the movie a fresh direction.

The title poster of the movie 'Daya Bharati' has been released. Director Vinayan shared the poster through his social media page. This is the first film of the production company under Sri Thamburan Chit Funds Pvt Ltd operating in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The story of the film takes place in the backdrop of a one-teacher school in a tribal village in the forest. Two teachers who have been there many times react against the brutal exploitation of tribals in the villages. For this reason, the opposition faced by those teachers from society was huge. Meanwhile, the main story of the film is the arrival of the singer Hariharan and the subsequent events. According to the crew, the senior Malayalam director KG Vijayakumar has prepared 'Daya Bharati' in such a way that humor, love, grudge, and resistance will be a different visual experience.

Vijayakumar, who has directed eight films like Ambili Ammavan, Police Diary, and Arabi Ponnu, is full of many features. The first thing to mention is the presence of singer Hariharan. The first film of Legendary Singer Hariharan, who is regarded as the best ghazal vocalist in South Indian cinema, is Dayabharathi. Having acted in ad films and albums, Hariharan coming to act in a feature film is not to be taken for granted.

Talked to Hariharan himself about this at the location in Athirapally. His reply was this. "The director and producer of this film approached me and told me the story. Some of the messages, the life of the suffering children of the forest and the interest in nature were very touching. Being very close to nature, birds, and wildlife, I felt that the story of this film was very compatible with my own life. That's how he agreed to act in this role. It is a film that deals with a purposeful concept and a socially responsible theme. Therefore, it will be a film that is likely to get a lot of attention at the national and international levels. Vijayakumar is entering the Main Steam Cinema after a short break. This film will prove that the fruit of waiting will be very blessed. Vijayakumar said that Hariharan got a lot of cooperation for the shooting of this film, which was shot entirely in forest areas.

The filming had to travel for kilometers through rivers and forests. There, Hariharan sir cooperated in a way that surprised everyone. Singer Hariharan himself is featured in this film. Daya and Bharti are two teachers who come to teach children in a tribal colony.

Dayabharati loved nature and birds alike. Bharti fights for justice against those who have exploited the tribals. This becomes a headache for the authorities. Bharti faces a lot of difficulties in resisting the ruling class as they are hindered by what they have experienced for years. Singer Hariharan's entry is in the middle of the subsequent conflicts. His proximity also leads to some new developments. The film goes through many popular issues.

The film says that the film deals with a topic of social relevance which has been shot in Ettumanoor, Athirappilly, Anakkayam, Attappadi, and Thiruvananthapuram.

The music for the film Dayabharathi is composed by Stillju Arjun with the lyrics of Prabha Varma, Jayan Thodupuzha, and Darwin Piravom. Hariharan, Nanjiamma, Radhika Ashok, Oviatess Augustine and Haritha V Kumar IAS are the singers in this film. The dance choreography of the film was arranged by Master Sri Selvi.

Daya Bharati movie will hit theaters in March 2024.
