Jailer is a Malayalam historical period piece thriller movie directed by Sakkir Madathil. Features Dhyan Sreenivasan in and as the titular character Jailer with Manoj K Jayan and Divya Pillai. The movie Jailer is produced under the banner of Golden Village. Navas Vallikunnu, Sreejith Ravi, Binu Adimali, Unniraja, VK Baiju, Tiju Mathew, Shashankan, Santhakumari, Ancy Vineesha, Vasudev Sajishmarar, Suryadev, and Sajishmarar are also in the star cast.

The DOP of 'Jailer' is Mahadevan Thampi along with Deepu Joseph as the editor and the chief associate is Aambro Varghese.

The music for the film 'Jailer' is composed by Riyas Payyoli with the lyrics of Nidheesh Nadery and Rathnabhushan Kalarikkal. The songs are sung by P Jayachandran, Sithara Krishnakumar, Bijibal, and Rijiya Riyas.

Synopsis

Shantaram is the main character in the film Jailer. Eight years after independence, the plot is set. Shantaram presented the authorities with this plan to reform some prisoners by sending them to a remote location and assisting them in leading regular lives by working in agriculture under his supervision. This initiative has the support of the government, and Shantaram would suffer severe losses if it were to collapse. He picked five offenders who had all received murder sentences: Shankaran, Madhavan, Kammaran, Keshavan, and Damu. In Jailer, we witness what happens to Shantaram's experiment.
