Director-writer Anand Dev received the 2024 Avighna Productions Iconic Cosmopolitan Business Award for Best Director. In a ceremony held in Dubai, Anand Dev received the award from Dr. Maya Alhawari, who is a UAE citizen, prominent in the field of education, and chairwoman of the Carmel School Board. Prominent producer Karthik Vijayamani and other dignitaries attended the event.
Apart from the Hindi film An Idiot and a Beautiful Liar, Anand has written and directed several short films, music videos, and commercials in multilingual languages such as Die in Love, Priyatham, and Churaliya.
Anand holds a BA in Cinema and is also the author of five literary books. The newly released collection of stories, Janmantharakrita, was even more impressive.
Anand, who is also a founding member of media production houses Take Time and The Indian Epic entered the film industry as an assistant director to renowned director Thulasidas. Later, he worked as an associate director with many directors and production houses. Anand is currently working on his new Malayalam movie.
