Angyam Malayalam movie is written and directed by debutant MS Vedanand. The film Angyam features Manorama Channel fame stars Malootty, a stand-up comedy darling, as the lead, while Kalamandalam Prabhakaran Mash, Kalamandalam Radhika, Pradeep Madhavan, Kalyani, Kishore, Selva Raj, Varsha, Om Prakash BR, Pradeep SN, Pushkaran Ambalapuzha, Jayesh, Bijo Krishnan, and others also star. The movie Angyam is produced by Pradeep Madhavan under the banner of Vam Frames.

The cinematography of the film 'Angyam' is handled by Shani Thodupuzha. Director MS Vedanand himself is doing the art direction, and the sign language presentation is done by Vinayachandran. The associate director of the film is Pratheesh Seban.

Kerala's sole art form, Koodiyattam, has been acknowledged by UNESCO as India's first dance art form. Since ancient times, Anguliyankam Koothu has combined voice, sign language, and silence in a very noble ritual art form. But there hasn't been enough renown or recognition for this art genre. In light of this, the movie Angyam is a narrative journey that blends Indian Sign Language with the art of Anguliyankam Koothu.

The shooting of Angyam by MS Vedanand aka MS Sunil Kumar started at Thiruvankulam Shiva Temple in Thrippunithura. Director M.S. Devanand's film "Angyam" demonstrates how a deaf and dumb girl in a rural setting uses mudras, sign language, and string to create a sign language, through which she communicates ideas to the world.

Unni Menon, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Meera Ram Mohan, and Divya sing three songs that Deepankuran Kaithapram composed and wrote the lyrics by Kaithapram for Angyam.
