Coolie is tipped to be an action thriller written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Features Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 171 as the lead character. The movie is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures.

Tentatively titled Thalaivar 171 movie is titled as 'Coolie' on 22 April 2024. Sun Pictures announced Superstar Rajinikanth’s #Thalaivar171 on 11 September 2023. Rajinikanth's fans were excited after the film was confirmed.

Anbariv, who won the National Film Award for Best Stunt Choreographer for KGF is doing the stunts for the film Thalaivar 171.
