Tribute to the Legendary Artist Raja Ravi Varma Pranamam

Renowned screenwriter, actor, and director Shankar Ramakrishnan has published the musical CD Pranamam, which was produced by VK Krishna Kumar under the Sooryamsu Creations banner and directed by renowned painter SN Sreeprakash. Maya K Varma penned the lyrics, which honor the memory of the great artist who has passed away. Kilimanoor Ramavarma Thampuran composed and sang the song, which is based on the life of Raja Ravi Varma, the patriarch of Indian painting and a world-class artist. Cinematographer Ayyappan has caught the moments of that famous artist's life as if they were on a magnificent canvas. On the occasion of Raja Ravi Varma's 177^th birthday, a cultural conference was held at Kilimanoor Palace, where the inaugural performance of this musical sculpture, which evokes the audience's emotions like a stunning artwork created in the seven colors, took place.

In this visual poem, Kilimanoor Ramavarma Thampuran, Maya K Varma, VK Krishna Kumar, Kallara Murali, and Master Akshith have all portrayed different roles. The great painter's unseen presence, which still permeates the Chitrasala and the palace grounds, is also unique in that it is portrayed through the dual roles of his descendant and musician, Kilimanoor Ramavarma Thampuran, in addition to Raja Ravi Varma's birth and his final moments at Kilimanoor Palace.

This acoustic sculpture has been transformed into a delightful visual feast by the old Kilimanoor Palace's sculpture and the verdant surroundings of the palace's gardens.
