The trailer for Nivin Pauly's animated short film "Blu’s" has been released

Rajesh PK, who has joined hands with international hits including Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, The Croods, Trolls, and Venom, is directing this film. Sushin Shyam is the composer of the movie's background music. Highlights of the film also include the amazing animation directed by Jeeth Parambendavida and the sound design by Shijin Melvin Hutton of Manjummel Boys fame. 'Blu’s' has been blended in Dolby Atmos to create a genuinely cinematic experience. Shibin KV and Jaser PV are the producers of this magnificent show, which is intended for large screens.
Despite being a silent picture, Nivin Pauly claimed that its message is profound and entirely consistent with his own dedication to protecting the environment. A story like this, created with such commitment and excellence, must be shared with the world. Nivin continued, "It is a Kerala art form that the world needs to see, and I am immensely proud to help share its voice with the world."
Rajesh PK's life story served as the inspiration for the film. The short film was inspired by a tree beside a ravine in Rajesh PK's birthplace of Payyanur that he remembered as a boy. Amid the fast changes, he witnessed his boyhood nightmares come true as he relocated to Bengaluru for business. He returned to Kerala, his home state, to use his skills to communicate a significant message because he was afraid of deforestation. He wrote the entire plot of Blu’s in his hometown of Kannur.
'Blu’s' has received a great deal of worldwide praise since its premiere at film festivals. Among the accolades the film has received are Best 3D Short Film from the Animotion Film Festival, Italy; Best Animation Short Film from the Indie Short Fest, Los Angeles, US; Second Runner-Up from the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival, India, and Jury Selection from the Lonely Wolf International Film Festival, London, UK.
Additionally, the movie has received nominations at the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology and the esteemed Catalina Film Festival (USA). It was chosen as a semi-finalist for both the 24th Edition of the MIAMI Short Film Festival (US) and the Venezia Shorts, Italy. Additionally, the movie has been chosen to have its premiere at prestigious film festivals such as the Aesthetica Short Film Festival - York, UK, SPARK ANIMATION 2025, Canada, the 41st Boston Film Festival, US, and the SITGES - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, Spain.
