The filming began on Sunday, December 28, in Kochi. The topic of this film is a voyage made by four young guys and their girlfriends who do not know each other. Four people with distinct personalities and no past acquaintances. The events that occur on their voyage are handled in a thriller style in this film. The film focuses heavily on action.

The music for Mathi is composed by Neerveil Singh and Bhagyaraj Parali, and the lyrics are by Shameer Singh and Bhagyaraj Parali.

Mathi is a pan-Indian film being distributed in five languages. The film will begin shooting in Kochi on January 15 and will be completed in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Goa, Mumbai, and Dubai.
