KPAC Sofiya Tharakan (Chinnu), who performed brilliantly on the KPAC stage, held the script pooja for the movie Dishandharam, which was recently held at the Kottarakkara Sree Maha Ganapathi Temple. The film deals with a number of facets of cinema, including story, screenplay, director, songwriting, and production. The Kottarakkara Iyapalloor St. George Orthodox Church hosted the film's word of blessing ceremony as well.

Director Sofiya, who is well-known for her roles as Sharada in the renowned play Mudiyanaya Puthran by the distinctive drama director Thoppil Bhasi, as Chinnammu in the 67^th play of KPAC, as Vaiga in the well-known play Angadi Kuruvi by Kayamkulam People's Theatres this year, and now as the lead character in the play Jeevane Jeevane by Alappuzha Suryakanti, KPAC, also won the Special Jury Mention Award for Best Actress at the Karunagappally CAS Drama Competition. First-time actor and law student Sophia Tharakan is creating a movie called Dishantharam based on a tale that has been ingrained in her memory for years from her previous theatrical endeavours.

The lyrics of Dishandharam are penned by Sujatha Francis Kattappana, Sofiya Tharakan, and Arathy Jayakumar, and the music is by Shaji Kottarakkara and Sofiya Tharakan.

At the end of June, filming for the movie Dishandharam will start in Kerala and Kolkata.
