Kaipola Malayalam survival sports drama movie based on the theme of wheelchair cricket is directed by KG Shyju. Features Indrans play the central character with Sajal Sudarsan and Anju Krishna Ashok as the heroine. Kalabhavan Shajon, Sreejith Ravi, James Eliya, Kozhikode Jayraj, Binu Kumar, Jordi Poonjar, Sinoj Varghese, Babitha Basheer, Vaishakh, Biju Jayanandan, Mahima, Naveen, Anu Nath, Prabha R Krishna, Vidhya Martin are the other actors in the film where the characters are very important. The movie Kai Pola is produced by Sajimon under the banner of VMR Films and Praveen Edavannappara is the executive producer. The film Kaipola is scripted by director Shyju and Sreekhil Sreenivasan jointly.

The cinematography is headed by Shiju M Bhaskar in the film Kaipola and edited by Anil Bose. The associate directors for the film are Asif Kuttipuram and Ameer.

The movie tells the story of the relationship between Appuppan, a culinary expert, and his grandson, a YouTube food vlogger. For the first time in India, a movie is being made with YouTube vloggers as characters. Indrans plays a cook who speaks Thrissur slang in the role of the Achayan, unlike the characters he has played so far. A completely different casting call has been released for the movie. What sets us apart from the casting calls we usually see is titled "Actors Needed". Children and adults studying Plus One and Plus Two are invited. Most of the characters in the film have been found in the screening conducted for several days by more than ten thousand applicants through auditions.

The shooting of the movie 'Kaipola' started in Kanjiramattom in Ernakulam District. The main location of the movie was Kolenchery. And the filming has been completed on 12^th May 2022.

The poster was released by famous actors and technicians of Mollywood cinema. The poster has pictures of the central characters Uthuppettan and his grandson Abey Kuruvilla. Indrans plays Uthuppettan and Sajal Sudarsan plays grandson Abey. The new poster of the film Kaipola has been released on 19^th November 2022 wishing all the teams of the FIFA World Cup 2022 held in Qatar. The poster features a successful man holding a bat and sitting in a wheelchair near a stadium, reminiscent of wheelchair cricket. For the first time in world cinema, a film about wheelchair cricket is being prepared. The new poster of the movie Kaipola starring Indrans has been released on 25^th November 2022. The new poster is reminiscent of the story of the bond of family ties among a handful of family films that are always loved by Malayalees. The poster is designed to share the happiness of a small family consisting of Uthuppettan and his grandson Abey Kuruvilla, the characters of the film. The music for the movie Kaipola is composed by Mejo Joseph with lyrics by Shobin Kannangattu, Vinayak Sasikumar, Manu Manjith, and Murukan Kattakada. T-Series has acquired the audio rights to the film Kaipola starring Indrans and Sajal in the lead role. This is the first time T-Series has acquired the audio rights to a film from Mollywood. Sajna Najam is the dance choreographer of the film Kaipola. The second song of the film has been released on 30^th January 2023. The song starts with "Mazha Nanayukayaano..." and is composed and sung by Mejjo Joseph from the lyrics of Murukan Kattakada. The song is arranged in such a way that it takes those who wish to get back their past childhood memories.
