Vela Malayalam crime drama movie is directed by newcomer Syam Sasi. Features Sunny Wayne, Shane Nigam, and Sidharth Bharathan in the movie as the lead characters with Aditi Balan. The movie is produced by S George under the banner of Cyn-Cyl Celluloid, Production #5 after Puzhu. Badusha Productions is the co-producer of the film Vela and Sunil Singh is the executive producer. The story and screenplay for the film are written by M Sajas. Prashanth Ezhavan is the chief associate director of the movie and the associate directors are Tanvin Nazir and Shine Krishna.

The film Vela tells the story set in the backdrop of a police control room in Palakkad, which can be classified as a crime drama, and has the distinction of playing the role of a police officer for the first time in his career by Shane Nigam. And in the new look, Shane is gorgeous. Ullas Augustine as a civil police officer and Sunny Wayne as SI Mallikarjunan play central roles in Vela.

The shooting of the movie started in Palakkad on 18^th June 2022. Shine Nigam, Sunny Wayne, Siddharth Bharathan, and Bipin Perumpally were present at the pooja function. The title announcement of Shane Nigam and Sunny Wayne film was done by Mega Star Mammootty through social media on 28^th August 2022 and the title of the movie is "Vela".

In the first police role in his career, Siddharth Bharathan will be seen as SI Ashok Kumar in Vela. Siddharth Bharat's role in Vela is in the getup of a slightly older police officer character. Siddharth Bharathan will play a different police character in his acting career in Vela and the character poster released on 23^rd September 2022. Sam CS, who was the music director of films like Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starer 'Vikram Vedha' and Karthi starer 'Kaithi', is the music composer for the movie. And Kumar Shanti is the dance choreographer of the Vela movie.

Vela movie will hit the theaters in the New Year.
