Sixty years ago, this area, located on India's southernmost point, was flourishing. According to the Puranas, Lord Rama built the Ram Setu on this hallowed location across the sea to protect Sita Devi from the Lankan ruler Ravana. A people who have loved each other and respected their customs.

For the majority of them, fishing was their primary source of income even though they worked in a variety of occupations. In December 1964, while everyone was getting ready for Christmas, a hurricane utterly wrecked this area, which was rich in everything. The people's hopes and dreams were dashed when the region was permanently lost to the water.

Synopsis

The narrative revolves around a cyclone that struck Dhanush Kodi in 1964. During this cyclone, the town of Dhanush Kodi was engulfed by the ocean. Only a handful of people made it out alive. (ads) The central character of the story is Alphones, a 74-year-old man who survived the cyclone when he was just 12 years old.
