Buddy Cop is a Malayalam comedy investigation movie directed by Rahul R Sarma. The film features Aju Varghese as the lead character. The screenplay for the film is written by PV Shajikumar.

The film is based on the 1993 Kasaragod Badiyadka Devaloka murder. It was an unusual case in which the Rooster was a witness. Based that incident, the film is based on the story "Sakshi" written by PV Shajikumar, who is famous for his film 'Take Off'. This comedy investigation-buddy cop film is directed by Rahul R Sharma, an associate of Midhun Manuel Thomas. PV Shajikumar is the screenwriter of films like Kanyaka Talkies, Take Off, Puthan Panam and Teacher.

The shooting of this film is set to begin soon in Kasargod and Mangalore.
